Natural Gas Daily is seeking two experienced energy journalists – one in China and another in either Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore or Hong Kong. The journalist in China will help enhance our coverage of China’s natural gas industry. Responsibilities will researching and writing news events and initiative features, attending industry events for source building and collating data for analysis that can be storified. You will be working with reporters in Shanghai and Beijing whose coverage spans the spectrum of the Chinese gas industry, from gas pricing outlook to reform of the state-dominated energy sector. Knowledge of China’s oil and gas industry, or experience covering other energy sectors preferred and excellent Chinese language fluency required. You will be based in Beijing or Shanghai.

Natural Gas Daily is also looking for a journalist to help expand and develop our coverage of Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. Candidates must have experience in the energy industry, excellent written English, and a proven ability to work to tight deadlines. The ability to research and write in-depth analysis features and to conduct interviews is essential. Knowledge of Asian gas and LNG markets is desirable.
