AFP – Senior Correspondent
The international news agency Agence France-Presse seeks a senior Anglophone correspondent to join its team in Beijing, covering a wide range of issues and events in China for a huge global audience.
The role includes both daily coverage/breaking news and writing longer, more in-depth pieces and multimedia features, involving some travel around China.
This is an opportunity for a journalist who wants to develop their own story ideas and play a significant part in reporting developments in Chinese society, economics, politics, culture and sports for a major news agency. Every day AFP’s words and images reach millions of readers and viewers via thousands of print, online and broadcast clients around the world.
Native-level English speaker with the ability to speak and read Chinese required.
The ideal candidate will be a multimedia reporter with substantial experience as a journalist in China and will have a range of sources and contacts. Video shooting and editing skills a big plus. Compensation package commensurate with abilities and experience.
