The international news wire Agence France-Presse is looking for an Anglophone correspondent to join its team in Beijing, covering a wide range of issues in China for a huge global audience.

The role includes both daily breaking news and writing longer, more in-depth analyses and features, involving some travel around China.

This is an opportunity for a journalist who wants to develop his or her own story ideas and play a significant part in reporting developments in Chinese politics, sports, society, economics and culture for a major news agency.

Native English speaker with the ability to speak and read Chinese required.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a journalist in China, with a range of sources and contacts. Compensation package commensurate with abilities and experience.
