China’s second to fourth tier cities have risen to become one of the most important consumer segments in the world. Kunal Sinha will tell us why and discuss ‘China Beyond – Change & Continuity’, a nine-month study that delves into the everyday lives of residents in these lower-tier cities. He’ll talk about what residents are most concerned about, where they spend their money, and how their behavior has been driven by digital technology. He’ll also share what these insights mean for business, particularly as the first wave of reverse migration is in full swing.
Kunal Sinha has more than two decades of experience in advertising and trend analysis across Asia. He is the lead researcher and co-author of “China Beyond – Change & Continuity,” an in-depth study of lower-tier Chinese markets. Kunal is currently the Chief Knowledge Officer at Ogilvy & Mather China and is based in Shanghai.
