Enjoy a breather from Shanghai and join FCC members and friends for an overnight trip to the rustic area near the Qingliangfeng Nature Reserve in Anhui. We’ll combine hiking and outdoor activities with discussion of local history, nature conservation, ecotourism and economic renewal.  Overnight rooms are in renovated old village homes. Most come w a double bed and cost 400 yuan for FCC members; shared rooms w single beds are 200 yuan for FCC members. Cost includes bus transportation, meals and selected free beverages.   Rooms will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis, though FCC members may receive priority in case of overbooking; non-FCC-members please add 200 yuan to room rate. ***Saturday, Sept. 2

7:00am — Depart from People’s Square

11:30am – Lunch and discussions in Sanyang Village (venue below).  Tentative speakers include: (1) Justin Jencks, co-founder Wildhomestay and principle Greenspace, (2) researcher from Wildlife Conservation Society, (3) Official from Daxiyuan Village, (4) Ben Schwegler, Senior VP and Chief Scientist, Disney Imageering.

4:30pm: Arrive Wildhomestay ( at Daxiyuan Village.  Here are some photos of the scenic Daxiyuan and Qingliangfeng area:

5:00pm:  Visit nearby ponds

6:30pm: Barbecue

***Sunday, Sept. 3

8:00am Breakfast

9:00am Hiking

12:00pm Outdoor lunch, following by walk/hike/ride

4:30pm Snack

5:00pm Depart for Shanghai

Arrive Shanghai: 9:30pm

***Booking information: Book your own double bed and room (cost: 400 RMB) or single bed in shared room (200 RMB) at Non-refundable prepayment required when your booking is confirmed – payment details will be provided later.  Non-members add 200 RMB.   The FCC reserves the right to make final confirmations.
