The FCC brings to Shanghai the advanced social media show which has hit a dozen+ cities on four continents, with audiences including the CNN, Washington Post, NPR and ABC newsrooms. Tech journalist and social media expert Sree Sreenivasan will cover best practices using various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube – as well as several new apps in a session that will include case studies and real-time demonstrations. Learn to build your personal brand, seek out relevant sources and information, get the right followers, fans and connections, and deploy metrics to judge your efforts. Q&A to follow. Bring your tablet or laptop if convenient (not required), and join us for an evening with one of Poynter’s 35 most influential people on social media. Sree Sreenivasan (谢斯睿) is Columbia University’s first-ever Chief Digital Officer, and this summer will become the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Chief Digital Officer. Sree has taught digital media for nearly 20 years at the Columbia Journalism School, and was named one of AdAge’s 25 people to follow on Twitter and one of Poynter’s 35 most influential people in social media.
