The Shanghai Foreign Correspondents Club invites members, friends, families and even committed enemies to share a cup of yuletide cheer and then another cup of yuletide cheer, and then one after that, all the while tearing down gourmet hors devors fried up before your eyes by aspiring masters of French cuisine. The FCC is treating all members to three drinks plus the aforementioned canapes; non-members are welcome to become members or pay 300 kuai for the same deal.
The event will be held at the Institut Paul Bocuse, located on the top floor of the beautiful Rhone-Alps pavilion on the Puxi side of the Shanghai Expo Zone, a mere two blocks from Xizang South Rd subway station at the intersection of lines 4 and 8.
The Institut originated in Lyon, France and is named after the father of modern French cooking. The Shanghai branch aims to bring the art of French cuisine to China by training students in every aspect of restaurant service.
