China’s Emptying Villages and What They Tell Us
Ben Wood and Yu Ping
Hundreds of millions of Chinese have left rural villages over the course of the country’s wave of urbanization in the past three decades. What is left of those rural landscapes, and what do the remaining dwellers and structures tell us about China? Partly through photos, Wood and Yu will explore the subject in a presentation called “Design without Designers.”
