Migrants face many challenges in educating their children in China, and the environment for non-profit organisations in China is also very difficult. How does an NPO working to educate migrant children in China overcome those challenges, and how is the situation evolving?
Stepping Stones (http://steppingstoneschina.net/), a city-wide English teaching volunteering programme in the schools for migrants, which now involves around 350 volunteers teaching around 5,000 students each week in 30 schools and community centres in Shanghai.

About the speaker:
Corinne Richeux Hua is a British/French national who studied Chinese at Cambridge University, and has spent most of her working life in Shanghai.She left her position in Human Resources with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2005 to work in the non-profit sector.
