Presumptive Republican nominee for President Donald Trump has called China everything from ‘thief’ to ‘rapist’ for its currency and trade policies. But what do ordinary Chinese and high-level Chinese officials think about the bombastic billionaire? How would President Xi Jinping and his government retaliate if Trump follows through on his rhetoric once elected? Join the SFCC for lunch as Shen Dingli, an Associate Dean at Fudan University’s Institute of International Studies, explores what President Trump could mean for US-China trade and diplomatic relations.
